How to play Solitaire

Build downward with alternating colors: a red 7 goes on a black 8. Only a King can start an empty column. Move each suit home from Ace to King to win.

Tap a card and its destination, or drag it. Double-click a card to send it home when it fits. Use Tab and Enter to select cards and destinations; Escape clears your selection. Use Draw to reveal more cards. Undo lets you try another approach.

Journey or Classic?

Journey gives you a trail of solvable starting deals. Clear one to unlock the next. Later levels introduce three-card draws, which give you fewer immediately available cards. Your choices can still lead to a dead end; use Undo or restart the same level. Unlocked levels stay yours.

Classic deals are shuffled and may be unwinnable. You can switch modes without losing either deal. Hints suggest legal moves, not a guaranteed winning path. This is our own version of traditional Klondike Solitaire. Play without signing in to save on this device. Sign in to continue your Classic and Journey games on another device, including your retained Undo moves. If saved versions differ, you choose which one to use.

One deck. Four homes. Your next level.

This single-player card game uses a standard 52-card deck. The seven columns on the table are the tableau. The face-down pile is the stock; drawn cards appear in the waste. The four suit spaces are the foundations, where you build from Ace to King.

  1. Look for a face-up card that fits under a card one rank higher and of the opposite color. A red 6 can move onto a black 7.
  2. Move a descending, alternating-color run together, or move part of that exposed run. Uncovering a face-down card turns it over.
  3. Start an empty column with a King. Start each foundation with its Ace, then add the 2, 3 and the rest of that suit.
  4. Draw from the stock when you need another option. In draw-three, only the top waste card is available; playing it exposes the next card. Recycling keeps the remaining cards in order.
  5. Bring all 52 cards to the foundations to finish. Journey unlocks the next level with one button. Restart keeps your unlocked levels.

A little help when you need it

Try to uncover face-down cards and make space for Kings. Sometimes bringing a foundation card back to the tableau opens a useful arrangement; this version allows it. Hints explain a legal move. They do not look through hidden cards or promise that the move will win.

Is every Solitaire deal winnable?

Each of our twelve Journey starting deals has a verified solution. Your later choices can still block a path, so Undo and Restart remain available. Classic deals are random and may be unwinnable.

What changes between draw-one and draw-three?

Draw-one exposes one stock card at a time. Draw-three exposes up to three, but you must play the top card before the ones underneath. Journey introduces draw-three after six draw-one levels. Classic lets you choose either format.

Can I play without an account?

Yes. All deals, hints and Undo are free without signing in. Browser storage keeps your two modes separate. This standalone site saves only in this browser; Zubboo.com has separate account saves. Your data page lets you download or clear device progress; clearing browser storage also removes local saves.

How much can I undo?

Undo restores the last move, including revealed cards and stock draws. Each mode keeps its latest 100 moves, when you return in this browser. Your next-level unlocks stay earned if you revisit the final move.

Solitaire is also called Patience. This is Zubboo’s own implementation of traditional Klondike, with our original card design and your dressed Zubboo companion.
